About Us

Amaysn Acres

A Black- and Veteran-owned family farm in Kansas City, rooted in respect for good food, good land, and the community we’re part of.

Who We Are

Amaysn Acres is a Black- and Veteran-owned family farm in Kansas City. We grow food with intention, raise animals naturally, tend our apiary, and care for a mix of growing spaces and woodland with steady, respectful attention.

Fresh food should be accessible. Healthy food should be normal. And good land should be cared for, not overlooked.

These ideas guide the way we farm, how we treat our land, and how we support the community around us.

Our Purpose

Amaysn Acres is built around three commitments:

Grow good food.

Respect the land.

Support the community.

Everything we maintain, plant, and raise reflects these principles. We value natural methods, thoughtful land care, and food that feels honest and trustworthy.

How We Farm

We take an intentional, balanced approach to caring for both cultivated areas and woodland. Our growing spaces, livestock areas, apiary, and natural features work together as a connected landscape.

We focus on practices that reflect our values: natural, respectful growing methods, thoughtful care of soil and water, supporting pollinators, maintaining healthy tree cover and natural vegetation, and keeping the land stable and productive. This approach reflects who we are and the kind of farm we choose to run.

NRCS / USDA Alignment

Amaysn Acres participates in NRCS/USDA programs that help guide how we manage soil, water, woodland, and growing systems. These programs support the methods we use and help ensure our stewardship aligns with established agricultural and conservation standards.

What Guides Us

At the center of our work is a belief we hold deeply:

Take care of the land, and the land will take care of the community.

This principle shapes every decision we make — from how we grow food to how we maintain the landscape we depend on.
